Still Life with Wattle - one of a kind watercolour
The off-centre yet bold sprig of wattle lights up the table scape in its yellow glass bottle, ably supported by a patterned blue and white vase, a collected feather, a pink shell, and an ikea vase (which featured on Tangerine Man and my wedding tables!) wrapped up with a complimentary purple wallpaper background. I've begun to make some Australian flower pictures, in my own way - this is the second in an ongoing series!
This lovely arrangement will bring light and a sense of fun to a favourite space. If you like the idea of gentle, vibrant Australian flower art for your sweet walls, this is for you!
If this is sold out (there's just the one original piece!) join my mailing list to hear first about the next painting!
One of a Kind Watercolour paintings are 100% original and unique paintings. If you love owning and/or gifting bold art pieces that you know for sure no one else will have, these are for you.
I create the hand-drawn lines with light-fast water-resistant Art Spectrum ink and an old-fashioned 'dip pen'. Once I’ve created the lines, I do all my colouring with Winsor and Newton Artists’ Watercolours. When creating my original art, I use archival quality watercolour paper. Usually it's 100% cotton Arches paper from France, otherwise it's another most excellent cotton, archival watercolour paper.
This image is about 23 cm wide x 32 cm high (32" x 12.5") and the paper itself has room for framing with a window mount! Framing will add around 10 - 12cm (4") on all sides, more at the bottom.
I recommend ordering Unframed if it's coming to you via the postal service/s - this saves us both money on postage, reduces the chance of damage in transit, and gives you the chance to meet and support a local framing artisan, too.
If you meet me at a market stall to pick up, I can arrange professional framing for you.
