18-100 Zinnias from Lucy
This moment of colour and nature 'specially triggered my appreciation when I noticed that the radiant-petalled zinnia flower shape was coincidentally repeated on the vase!
I loved painting with lots of pink and blue, the lovely softness and boldness of their variations. The cloth is a delicious pink like strawberry gelati, and mother natures petals show up and shine!
If you've followed the work in progress shots - #wip - on my instagram feed you'll know the background was a lighter blue originally. It was too pale to really show off the flowers, so I added some more blue oomph (that's a technical art term, don'tcha know?)!
This cosy combination of pinks, blues and leafy greens is perfect for a space where you want a bright dollop of cosiness ... like your snuggle-with-the-cats chair, your bedroom, or even in the big kitchen to bring detail and colour and life...

One of a Kind Watercolour paintings are 100% original and unique paintings. If you love owning and/or gifting bold art pieces that you know for sure no one else will have, these are for you.
I create the hand-drawn lines with light-fast water-resistant Art Spectrum ink and an old-fashioned 'dip pen'. Once I’ve created the lines, I do all my colouring with Winsor and Newton Artists’ Watercolours. When creating my original art, I use archival quality watercolour paper. This time it's 100% cotton Canson paper.
This image is about 32 cm high x 22 cm wide (12.5" x 9") and the paper itself has ample room for framing with a window mount! Good framing adds around 10 - 12cm (4") on all sides, more at the bottom.
I recommend ordering Unframed if it's coming to you via the postal service/s - this saves us both money on postage, and gives you the chance to support a local framing artisan, too. [Unsure about framing? Click this to get my new art collectors tips sheet here :) ]
If you meet me at a market stall to pick up, I can arrange professional framing for you in about 2-3 weeks.
