Peri in the Nasturtiums
Peri pops up his head to scope out the exuberant nasturtium garden.
His alert yet calm eyes bring a playful gaze to a bedroom or sunroom (though framed watercolours should not be hung where they'll receive sun's rays). If you cherish nasturtiums and kitties, this painting will bring out your inner child and remind you of goodness as you happily go about your day.
For some reason the leaves are coming up a bit 'fluoro' on my screen. They aren't in real life.
If this is sold out (there's just the one original piece!) join my mailing list to hear first about the next painting!
One of a Kind Watercolour paintings are 100% original and unique paintings. If you love owning and/or gifting bold art pieces that you know for sure no one else will have, these are for you.
I create the hand-drawn lines with light-fast water-resistant Art Spectrum ink and an old-fashioned 'dip pen'. Once I’ve created the lines, I do all my colouring with Winsor and Newton Artists’ Watercolours. When creating my original art, I use archival quality watercolour paper. Usually it's 100% cotton Arches paper from France, otherwise it's another most excellent cotton, archival watercolour paper.
This image is about 23 cm wide x 32 cm high (32" x 12.5") and the paper itself has room for framing with a window mount! Framing will add around 10 - 12cm (4") on all sides, more at the bottom.
I recommend ordering Unframed if it's coming to you via the postal service/s - this saves us both money on postage, reduces the chance of damage in transit, and gives you the chance to meet and support a local framing artisan, too.
If you meet me at a market stall to pick up, I can arrange professional framing for you.
