Red Nasturtiums in a Strawberry Jam Jar
This light touch pen drawing with watercolour features a handful of just opened nasturtiums dropped into a spare jar on the first day of Spring. A small sunflower and new tomato complete the garden produce bounty. Backed by a blue swoosh of curtain, this fresh original painting will bring happy energy and light to your kitchen, hallway or family room even on an overcast day.

One of a Kind Watercolour paintings are 100% original and unique paintings. If you love owning and/or gifting bold art pieces that you know for sure no one else will have, these are for you.
I create the hand-drawn lines with light-fast water-resistant Art Spectrum ink and an old-fashioned 'dip pen'. Once I’ve created the lines, I do all my colouring with Winsor and Newton Artists’ Watercolours. When creating my original art, I use archival quality watercolour paper. Usually it's 100% cotton Arches paper from France, otherwise it's another most excellent cotton, archival watercolour paper.
This image is about 22 cm wide x 32 cm high (8.5" x 12.5") and the paper itself has lovely deckled and torn edges that make it a great candidate for float mounting! [What's float mounting you ask? A question answered in my How Do I Frame my Lino Print (or watercolour or other artwork on paper)? download!] Framing will add around 10 - 12cm (4") on all sides, more at the bottom.
I recommend ordering Unframed if it's coming to you via the postal service/s - this saves us both money on postage, reduces the chance of damage in transit, and gives you the chance to meet and support a local framing artisan, too.
If you meet me at a market stall to pick up, I can arrange professional framing for you for $125-ish, in about 3 weeks.
